DWI Arrest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-4v1oaK9nA Mount Laurel Traffic Stop: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfQ8TQ9k1YY Around 6:48 AM on May 28, 2026, Chief Anthony Nippons with the Lumberton Township Police Department notified Sergeant Brittney Cellasio about a possible disturbance at the residence of Gina LaPlaca. Gina is currently a Democratic Commiteewoman who serves on the Lumberton Township Committee, and she has previously served as the Mayor. Patrolman Joe Rodriguez first arrived on scene in front of the residence and made contact with her husband Jason Carty outside the residence. Jason told the officer that his wife had relapsed and gotten drunk again, and that they had a verbal altercation. However, he vehemently denied that any physical altercation had occurred and he would later show the officers a video recording of her yelling obscenities at him. Patrolman Thomas Zyhajlo arrived on scene around this time, followed by Sergeant Cellasio. After being advised by Jason that Gina was inside the house, Sergeant Cellasio and Patrolman Zyhajlo went upstairs to the bedroom and made contac with her. Gina told the officers that she wanted to file a criminal complaint and apply for a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) against her husband. Jason was also offered the opportunity to apply for a TRO based on remarks that Gina had made towards him, but he declined to do so. It was determined that Gina would get dressed while Jason would drive their son to school. Since it appeared that she was impaired, the officers allowed Gina to get dressed before giving her a courtesy transport to the Lumberton Township Police Department. At the station, Gina was evaluated by first responders and declined to be transported to the hospital. She told the officers that there was a physical altercation earlier that morning. Both Sergeant Cellasio and Patrolman Zyhajlo indicated that they detected an odor of alcohol on Gina’s breath. While the officers were completing the paperwork and trying to get Gina to complete a Probable Cause statement before getting in contact with a Judge, she insisted that she be transported back to her residence. Patrolman Rodriguez then transported Gina back to her residence, and Sergeant Cellasio contacted conflict Judge Peter Lange. Judge Lange eventually granted the TRO after speaking with Gina. Her husband was told by Patrolman Rodriguez to respond to the station to be served with the TRO. Jason later responded to the station and he was placed under arrest for the DV strangulation. Jason was charged with the following: -Aggravated assault – strangle domestic violence victim (2C:12-1B(13) -Harassment (2C:33-4A) Jason was served with a copy of the TRO and he was given a 15-minute escort to retrieve his belongings from the residence. As they walked to the residence, Jason showed Patrolman Rodriguez a DoorDash order which consisted of alcohol. Since Gina was impaired, her son was released to Jason’s brother at the end of his school day. Gina has previously been arrested for driving while impaired in Lumberton Township, NJ while she was the Mayor on March 17, 2025. She was also criminally charged with endangering a child (2C:24-4A(2)) and cruelty and neglect of children (9:6-3) as a result of that arrest because she operated the vehicle with a minor child inside the car. Jason currently serves as a board member for the Rancocas Valley Regional School District, and the board later released a statement that he was under investigation after this alleged incident. ---------------------------------------------- Please LIKE, SUBSCRIBE, and consider supporting this channel (email us for more information). North Jersey Media Group, 993 A.2d 778 (2010) that “The fair-report privilege reflects the judgment that the need, in a self-governing society, for free-flowing information about matters of public interest outweighs concerns over the uncompensated injury to a person's reputation.” This video advances a compelling public interest. The summary of events was based on records that are “open to public view through open access to public records” as defined in the Salzano case. In Ramos v. Flowers, 429 N.J.
