#news #police #arrest #cops Report: On 02/19/2022, Officers were dispatched in reference to a domestic. The caller stated that her husband was choking her. He was wearing a waffle House uniform. The caller stated that the suspect was known to carry a pew pew in his pocket, but did not know if he had it on him currently. Officers asked dispatch to search for previous bond conditions and TPO's, none could be located. Officers arrived on scene and saw a group of women in front of the building. Officers located and spoke with the victim. She stated that she did not know where the suspect was. Another individual on scene went to get the suspect from a different apartment. The suspect exited the apartment and was asked to put his hands behind his back and to stand facing a wall. Another officer performed a Terry frisk of the suspects outer clothing for weapons. No weapons were located. Officers escorted the suspect to the patrol car because the women on scene were getting loud and trying to agitate him. While walking, the suspect stated that he had put his hand around the victims throat. Officers detained (BB, DL) the suspect at this point. The suspect said the victim began talking bad about his child and that was what caused him to get irritated. He stated again that he had placed his hand around the victim's throat and pushed her against a wall. Additionally, the suspect stated that if the victim had been a man he would have "thrown hands". Other officers, after speaking with witnesses and the victim, placed the suspect under arrest. He was searched prior to being placed into another officer's patrol car. Another officer transported him to jail.
