On March 28, 2024, a trooper tried to stop a black Honda Civic on I-630 after noticing an unreadable paper tag. Instead of stopping, the driver sped off at around 113 mph, ran through traffic at a red light, and later turned off the vehicle’s lights while fleeing. The pursuit was eventually called off after the trooper lost sight of the car near Woodrow and Asher.
