A student's high school altercation over alleged infidelity rapidly escalates, leading to an unexpected arrest and legal proceedings. The incident began at a high school parking lot when a student was observed verbally abusing another individual, identified as her ex-boyfriend, and physically assaulting him by throwing a phone and striking him multiple times in the back of the head. Despite the victim declining to press charges, school protocol and the nature of the domestic incident compelled officers to initiate an arrest. Surveillance footage corroborated the assault, though the student's counterclaim of hair-pulling was not supported. She was subsequently transported to police headquarters, processed with fingerprinting and photography, and charged with simple assault, with her case later transferred to another municipal court to avoid potential conflicts of interest. --- Transparency through the lens of the law.
