When they arrived, they observed the activity inside the dorm room by peaking through a small opening in a window blind. They eventually knocked on the door, which was answered by the student inside. When he didn't volunteer to step outside or provide his ID, one of the officers grabbed his wrist and attempted to forcefully remove him from the dorm room. A struggle ensued, which spilled back inside the dorm room. The student was arrested for three charges. This was a warrantless arrest that occurred inside of the student's dorm room.
