EXCLUSIVE FULL VIDEO -Officer-Involved Shooting After Armed Suspect Flees on Foot. Bodycam Los Angeles, California — On the evening of July 20, 2025, uniformed officers assigned to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Devonshire Patrol Division responded to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon involving a suspect believed to be armed with a firearm in the 20000 block of Prairie Street. As officers moved toward the area, an LAPD air unit arrived overhead and located the suspect, later identified as 28-year-old Romario Iraheta. The suspect was seen riding a skateboard while attempting to evade police. Air support directed ground units as Iraheta moved through nearby streets, eventually reaching the 9300 block of Corbin Avenue. Officers initiated a foot pursuit after Iraheta abandoned his skateboard and continued to flee on foot. During the pursuit, police say Iraheta turned and pointed a firearm toward pursuing officers. In response to the perceived threat, officers discharged their weapons, striking the suspect. Despite being wounded, Iraheta continued to run briefly before stopping and being taken into custody without further incident. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was treated for a gunshot wound and later listed in stable condition. No officers or bystanders were injured during the encounter. Investigators recovered a black steel handgun at the scene, equipped with a high-capacity magazine loaded with live rounds. The firearm was booked into evidence. Iraheta was later absentee booked on charges of assault with a deadly weapon on a police officer involving a firearm.
