On April 20, 2023, Boynton Beach officers responded to a multi-vehicle crash caused by a clearly intoxicated driver who refused every command to exit her car. What started as a routine DUI investigation quickly escalated when the woman ignored warnings, resisted officers, and put hands on police — forcing them to pull her out and restrain her on the ground. Bodycam footage shows officers dragging her from the driver’s seat, securing her, and discovering the empty vodka bottle behind the chaos. The driver, Erica, was charged with DUI and battery on a law enforcement officer. She is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
