Department: Martin County Sheriff's Office, Florida Date: November 8, 2023 Suspect: James Malvezzi-Campeggi On November 8, 2023, Martin County Sheriff's Office observed a white minivan driving erratically. A traffic stop was initiated. The suspect, later identified as James Malvezzi-Campeggi, quickly became uncooperative with officers and refused to rolldown the windows and would not hand the officer his registration. A DUI unit was called to the scene. After the DUI unit arrived on scene, Campeggi was ordered to exit the vehicle. the suspect began stepping away from officers. When the officers attempted to restrain him, he began to resist and struck an officer with his right arm.
