On March 1, 2026, Rio Rancho Police Officer Roskos observed a vehicle hit the center median of the roadway several times. He initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, which was being driven by a 21-year-old woman. The woman admitted to drinking wine two hours prior, so she was asked to step out of her vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. She was placed under arrest and was transported to the Rio Rancho Police Station where she agreed to provide breath samples. The result from wo breath samples were both 0.22% BAC. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
