La Crosse, Wisconsin police arrested Amber Maish on an active warrant — but the situation escalated at the jail when she threatened an officer and his family. On August 6, 2026, officers responded to a reported fight near 5th Avenue South. Maish was later taken into custody on a Trempealeau County warrant. During the jail booking process, she became increasingly agitated and made threats against the officer and her family. Maish was additionally charged with Threats to a Law Enforcement Officer, two counts of misdemeanor Bail Jumping, and one count of felony Bail Jumping.
