What began as a welfare check on an individual suspected of impairment in a parking lot escalated rapidly into a combative and challenging arrest situation, captured here. Officers responded to reports concerning an impaired individual attempting to drive, nearly endangering pedestrians and vehicles in a suburban parking lot. Upon locating the vehicle and the individual, initial attempts to make contact were met with resistance. The subject was reportedly found with open containers of alcohol within their vehicle. The situation intensified significantly when the subject refused to comply with lawful orders to exit the vehicle. During the subsequent attempt to detain, the individual became physically combative, reportedly assaulting an officer. This clip captures a crucial moment during the physical engagement as officers work to safely secure the resistant subject amidst the cold, snowy environment. In this segment, body camera footage records officers giving instructions to "roll her" while managing the subject's extremities. The tension is palpable as the subject expresses acute distress, exclaiming, "I can't feel my fucking fingers!" and later, the impactful phrase, "I'm crying on her stomach," highlighting the physical and emotional intensity of the encounter during the arrest procedure. Due to the extreme intoxication and continued combative behavior, the subject was ultimately transported for medical evaluation. Even during transport and at the medical facility, the individual reportedly continued to lash out, assaulting another officer and a hospital staff member.
