Witness the immediate aftermath of a late-night DUI arrest as a concerned boyfriend grapples with the legal process and his limited role. An officer initiated a traffic stop after observing a vehicle make multiple turns without signaling and nearly strike a curb. Upon contact, the officer detected signs of impairment, including the odor of alcohol and the driver's watery, bloodshot eyes. Despite the driver's refusal to perform field sobriety exercises, the officer proceeded with an arrest for driving under the influence based on observed erratic driving and other indicators. The driver, later confirmed to have a blood alcohol content of 0.179%, was transported for processing, read her Miranda rights, and subsequently released with a summons to appear in court. Court records show a guilty plea, resulting in 24 months of supervised probation, a 90-day license suspension, and mandatory program attendance. --- Transparency through the lens of the law.
