On August 3, 2024, Holmdel Township Police Officers were dispatched to a report of a vehicle driving northbound in the southbound lanes of State Highway 35. Additional callers reported that the vehicle struck another vehicle and parked in a parking lot. Patrolman Enzerillo located the vehicle, which was being driven by a 25-year-old woman. Her passenger jumped out of the vehicle hysterically and told officers that the driver was drunk. However, the driver denied consuming any alcohol. The woman was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests, which led her to being arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). While in the back of the police car, she admitted that she was drinking vodka in the car and that this was her 2nd DWI arrest. The police report indicates she submitted to an evidential breath test and the result was 0.18% BAC. She was issued 9 citations, which are discussed at the end of the video. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
