On November 19, 2023, an officer on routine patrol observed a sedan traveling with its high-beam headlights activated. The vehicle passed the officer without dimming the lights, and a registration check revealed the tag belonged to a Ford truck. When the officer initiated a stop, the driver became argumentative and refused to provide identification. After repeated requests, the driver exited the vehicle but continued to resist lawful commands. As the officer attempted to place her in handcuffs, she actively resisted arrest. The driver was charged with Resisting without Violence and issued multiple citations, including Driving While License Suspended/Cancelled, Attaching Tag Not Assigned, Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle, and No Proof of Insurance. She later entered into a pre-trial agreement, and upon successful completion, the charges were dismissed. Disclaimer: All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
