On June 11, 2024, officers responded to urgent calls regarding a highly intoxicated individual who reportedly attempted to abandon two young children at a gas station, with witnesses observing her allegedly tossing an infant towards the ground before she drove off in a tan Cadillac SRX with the children still inside. Police quickly located the vehicle on a residential street, where the young adult Black woman, characterized by her short blonde hair and light pink cropped tank top, displayed severe impairment, slurred speech, and highly erratic behavior upon detention, even claiming to be off probation since May 24th, 2024, amidst confused and shifting explanations for her actions. Disturbingly, her statements included a bizarre hallucination about a third child jumping from the car, which triggered an extensive multi-officer search involving multiple units to confirm the child's whereabouts, ultimately finding them safe with family.
