On December 23, 2023, officers with Verona Wisconsin's Police Department were dispatched to assist an individual with his intoxicated roommate. The roommates advised the officers that she was involved in a hit and run accident earlier that day and left the house, worrying she may drive again. While one officer made contact with the suspect, the other spoke with the roommates. During the encounter, the 41 year old female was uncooperative with officers and physically resisted. She was arrested for Resisting/Obstructing and Verona Police Department assisted Madison Police Department with their hit and run investigation.
