On August 23, IMPD officers and SWAT responded to the Park Terrace Motel in Lawrence to serve a warrant on 40-year-old Kentrail Small, who was believed to be armed and dangerous. Bodycam footage reveals officers announcing their presence with sirens and a public address system before forcibly entering the motel room when Small didn’t respond. Inside, officers encountered Small and a woman emerging from the bathroom. As officers attempted to detain him, they identified a gun nearby, prompting a struggle. During the altercation, Small reportedly tried to grab a firearm, leading two SWAT officers to open fire. Small was transported to Eskenazi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The woman in the room complied with police commands and was not injured. IMPD later reported seizing various types of drugs and prescription pills from the scene. No officers or bystanders were harmed during the incident. -------------------------------- Viewer discretion is advised, as the footage contains graphic and potentially disturbing scenes of violence. --------------------------------- #IMPD #BodycamFootage #LawrenceMotelShooting #IndianapolisPolice #PoliceShooting #GraphicContentWarning #LawrenceIndiana #CrimeNews #PoliceInvestigation #IndianaNews #FatalEncounter --------- Credits: Music: Crime is Everywhere by Soundridemusic Link to Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHAk8jwhnOA&t=0s
