On April 22, 2025, the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call about a domestic disturbance. The caller advised that a female, who was intoxicated, had just left the scene. Deputy Baca located a vehicle matching the description given by the caller. The police report indicates that the driver was traveling in excess of 100 miles per hour. While Deputy Baca was trying to catch up to the speeding vehicle, it crashed and became inoperable. The vehicle was being driven by a 28-year-old woman, who had a cat in the car. The door of her crashed vehicle was unable to be opened, so she remained in the vehicle. At one point, she opened a small bottle of vodka and attempted to take a drink. At that point, Deputy Przyojski instructed the woman to exit the vehicle through the open window, but she refused. She had to be extracted from the vehicle by multiple deputies. She then threatened to spit on the deputies, so a "Spit Sock" was placed over her face. Because of the potential for injury from the accident, she was transported to a hospital. She was also read the New Mexico Implied Consent Act and refused to submit to a breath alcohol test. Her charges and the outcome of her case are listed at the end of the video.
