A couple of notes: 1. Only the thumbnail is AI enhanced. No portions of the video are AI. 2. A long video, but chapter markers are provided for those who would like to fast forward. Portions of report: I was informed that the Russellville Police Department, along with Pope County, was in pursuit of a stolen vehicle. Dispatch advised that units were in pursuit of a white Penske truck. While behind the vehicle, I observed the vehicle traveling in both lanes of the interstate, weaving back and forth at approximately 70 mph. I was advised that Johnson County Units had spike strips set up at the 64mm. Upon approaching the 64, I observed the suspect vehicle swerve into the median and miss the deployed spike strips. The vehicle continued to weave across the interstate. As we approached the 56 MM, I attempted to move up to the passenger side of the suspect vehicle, and he swerved towards me onto the shoulder. At the 56MM, I attempted to move up to TVI, and the vehicle again pushed me over and began traveling onto the shoulder. At the 55MM at 4:37 AM, I attempted a TVI that was unsuccessful. Another TVI was attempted on the suspect vehicle at the 52MM at 4:39 AM and was unsuccessful. The pursuit continued westbound, where we were advised that Franklin County had spike strips set up at the 43MM. As we approached the spike strips, the suspect vehicle traveled to the shoulder and avoided the spikes. At the 42MM, I attempted another TVI on the suspect vehicle, which was unsuccessful at 4:48 AM. The suspect vehicle continued driving erratically and drove onto the shoulder. The vehicle then did a hard brake check two times. I attempted another TVI on the suspect vehicle at 4:52 AM at the 37MM that was unsuccessful. The vehicle continued traveling erratically onto the shoulder and the grass. As we continued westbound, the suspect vehicle took exit 35 and traveled North on State Highway 23. As we continued north, the suspect vehicle was seen traveling in the oncoming lane of travel around curves and again driving on the shoulder. At 4:59 AM, the suspect vehicle was seen traveling in the oncoming lane with a vehicle coming. At 5:31 AM, we approached Madison County units who had spike strips deployed; the suspect vehicle swerved across the roadway and once again avoided the spike strips. At 5:47 AM, Madison County Units joined the pursuit. At 5:48 AM, the suspect vehicle passed two vehicles in the oncoming lane in a no-passing zone and continued North on HWY 23. At 5:48 AM, a Madison County unit was able to get in front of the suspect vehicle and attempted to slow the vehicle. This caused the vehicle to drive off of the roadway and travel north in the grass. The vehicle continued in the grass until we came upon a private drive entering a farm. The vehicle turned into the private drive, and at 5:50 AM I attempted another TVI on the vehicle, which was unsuccessful. The vehicle then traveled in a circle around the property and back onto HWY 23 and headed north. Russellville PD units terminated at this point. Madison County units and I continued to pursue the vehicle approximately one mile north on HWY 23. The suspect vehicle then turned left into a gravel lot and down an embankment of Eagle Creek. The vehicle traveled for approximately 100 yards before becoming stuck in the creek. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Trevor Larochelle, began to flee on foot into the creek. After approximately 50 yards, we were able to catch up to him on the embankment of the creek and attempt to place him into custody. Mr. Larochelle resisted arrest by refusing to comply with verbal commands to place his hands behind his back during the arrest. Due to this, I deployed one taser cartridge and made contact with the lower left portion of his back. Mr. Larochelle immediately complied and was successfully placed in handcuffs. Formal charges will be filed for prosecutor review. Charges are as follows: 5-36-106( e)(1) Theft by Receiving - $25,000 5-54-125(d)(3) Fleeing Felony- Vehicle or Conveyance 5-54-125(c) Fleeing on foot 5-54-103(a) Resisting arrest 27-16-303 Driving on Suspended License 27-50-308(b)(1)(B) Reckless Driving 1st 27-51-104 Careless and Prohibited Driving 8-6-406 Littering 00:00 - Pursuit Begins 26:22 - PIT Attempt 28:44 - PIT Attempt 34:06 - Audio Begins 49:48 - PIT Attempt 52:35 - PIT Attempt 01:09:02 - Spike Attempt 01:27:15 - County Unit Forces Him Off Road 01:27:52 - PIT Attempt 01:29:00 - Through Chicken Farm 01:30:32 - Stuck In Mud 01:34:50 - Suspect Info 01:35:53 - Photos
