School staff raise alarm about an impaired teacher, leading to a traffic stop that reveals shocking levels of intoxication. Responding to a report from school staff concerned about a teacher exhibiting unsteadiness and the odor of alcohol, an officer located a silver 2015 Hyundai driving erratically. Upon initiating a traffic stop, the driver, who claimed to be having a panic attack, displayed clear indicators of impairment. Backup officers arrived to conduct a DUI investigation, during which the driver initially resisted exiting the vehicle for field sobriety exercises but eventually complied. She subsequently failed multiple tests, including the Walk and Turn where she did not touch heel-to-toe and took an incorrect number of steps. A search of her vehicle incident to arrest uncovered six bottles of vodka, and breath samples later revealed BAC levels nearly four times the legal limit of 0.08%, leading to a DUI citation and transport to jail. --- Transparency through the lens of the law.
