On June 16, 2024, Little Silver Patrolman Gilmore observed a vehicle fail to maintain lanes by driving on the white fog lines painted on the road and fail to stop at a stop sign. He stopped the vehicle as the 29-year-old driver was pulling into the Acme Store. The woman and her boyfriend, who was driving a separate vehicle, were returning from Donovan's Reef (a beach bar) in Sea Bright, NJ. She first claimed she had consumed a White Claw and a High Noon. 40 seconds later, she claimed she drank a High Noon and a rum bucket. Patrolman Gilmore advised the woman that he felt she had more to drink than she was admitting to, so she was asked to step out of her vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. After the tests, she was placed under arrest for DUI. Her boyfriend then makes an appearance and tries multiple times (unsuccessfully) to get her released so that he could take her home. She was transported to the Little Silver Police Department, where she submitted to an evidential breath test and blew a 0.12% BAC. She was given 5 citations, which are discussed at the end of the video. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
