On this night, police pulled over a woman who was driving erratically—swerving across lanes, driving well below the speed limit, and raising serious safety concerns. When officers made contact, she admitted to having “just one glass of wine” earlier that evening after attending a student performance at Count Basie Theater. Despite being only a block away from her home, the woman struggled through field sobriety tests, removed her heels to attempt balance exercises, and showed clear signs of impairment. Officers noted slurred speech, poor coordination, and emotional outbursts as she repeatedly begged to be allowed to go home to her 10-year-old child. Ultimately, the driver was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), transported to police headquarters, read her rights, and required to submit to breath testing under New Jersey law. This footage captures the difficult reality of impaired driving and the heartbreaking aftermath when personal choices collide with public safety. #Bodycam #DUIArrest #PoliceFootage #SobrietyTest #DWI #PoliceEncounter #TrafficStop #DrunkDriving #PoliceVideo #FieldSobrietyTest
