On February 10, 2025, Lakewood Police Officer Krotine observed a vehicle driving with no headlights on. He initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle, which was being driven by a 36-year-old woman. The woman was slow to respond and seemed confused and disoriented. Officer Krotine noted that he observed an open container of tequila in the passenger side floorboard of the vehicle. He asked the woman if she had consumed any alcohol and she said she did not have anything to drink at first, but then she said she had one shot of Jameson three hours ago. When the woman was asked to step out of the vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests, she indicated that she would fail them and suggested that Officer Krotine just arrest her. Officer Krotine confirmed that the woman would not participate in sobriety tests and she was placed under arrest. She was transported to the Lakewood City Jail. An interesting twist occurred when she was asked to submit to a urine test. This is discussed at the end of the video. Her case is still open and all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
