A 911 call about an aggressive ex-boyfriend turns into a confrontation with police when officers arrive and discover the man is armed with a knife. The incident happened on May 9, 2025, in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Police were called to an apartment on the 600 block of 8th Avenue North after a woman reported that her ex-boyfriend, 46-year-old Keyon Hill, had come into her apartment acting aggressively. When officers arrived, Hill refused to cooperate — then pulled a knife and stabbed Officer Schreiner in the left arm. Officer Schreiner fired a single shot in response, striking Hill in the shoulder. Hill later admitted to investigators that he attacked the officer — and told them the shooting was justified. A Stearns County jury convicted him of first-degree assault against a peace officer, while acquitting him of the original domestic assault charge that started it all.
