#news #police #arrest #cops Report: On 04/18/2022, Officers responded to a gas station n reference to a female inside the store with a box cutter. While en route to the scene, dispatch advised the female was inside the store with her boyfriend and he was refusing to get her out of the store. Officers were also advised that the employees were behind the counter, but that all other customers were out of the store. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with the male and female inside the store. Officers began speaking with the female and advised her to keep her hands out where they could see them. Officers called her over to them and explained to her we were called because she reportedly had a box cutter. The female then began reaching into her back right pocket and began pulling out the box cutter. Officers grabbed the female and safely escorted her to the ground in order to detain her for both the safety of officers and herself. After conducting more of the investigation. Officers then began speaking with the male that had been with the female. Officers asked the male what happened and he stated the female was overreacting. He also told them that she was intoxicated as well. The suspects were placed under arrest and then transported to the Clarke County Jail. Officers spoke with the employee who called and asked her what happened. She stated the female began slamming things in the store and was asked to leave. She said that once she told her she needed to leave she began yelling and then pulled out a box cutter. Officers reviewed the video with her and they observed the employee exchanging some words with the suspect before going outside. Later in the video, you can see the suspect begin slamming things on the counter. The employee comes back in and tells the suspect and her boyfriend they have to leave the store. The suspect begins screaming and yelling at the employee and also exchanges words with several customers. In the video, you can see one customer leave the store while staring at the suspect and the two are exchanging words. The customer exits the store with his items and after a short period, comes back inside the store empty-handed. It was after he re-entered the store, that the suspect pulls out the box cutter.
