On May 21, 2023, at approximately 7:03 PM, Sergeant Matthew Gajewski of the Union Beach Police Department encountered a disabled 2020 Toyota SUV on Shore Road in Union Beach, New Jersey. The driver, 45-year-old Justine Meadow, exhibited slurred speech and the odor of alcohol. Despite denying impairment, she failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for driving under the influence. At the police station, her breath test revealed a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.332%, leading to multiple charges including operating under the influence and reckless driving. This clip captures Sergeant Gajewski's initial questioning of Ms. Meadow regarding her alcohol consumption.
