On August 17, 2024, law enforcement deputies were dispatched to a local bar following reports of a disturbance involving an individual who was reportedly verbally assaulting staff and refusing to leave the premises. Upon arrival at the scene, officers encountered the subject, a young adult woman with long dark brown hair, sitting on the ground next to a light-colored stucco wall. She was observed wearing a black top with sheer panels and distinctive patterned shorts, exhibiting immediate signs of non-compliance and defiance. Despite repeated attempts by officers to calm the situation and offer practical assistance, such as arranging a ride home or contacting family, the individual remained overtly hostile. She continued to use offensive language and defiant gestures towards the deputies, explicitly rejecting offers of help aimed at preventing an arrest. Officers emphasized their desire to keep her out of jail, even suggesting a trip to the hospital, but these de-escalation efforts were continuously rebuffed. The individual was seen flipping off officers, indicating a clear refusal to cooperate with lawful commands.
