Sergeant Mazza spotted a black Mercedes fitting that description near Highway 36 heading west and East Road. He managed to pull over the vehicle close to Highway 36 west and Church Street. He approached the 23-year-old driver, later identified as Ms. Yang, and saw there were three other women in the car. He inquired about her recent activities, and Ms. Yang first mentioned that she was coming from China but later revealed that she and her friends had been at the beach. Although she initially claimed she had not drunk any alcohol, Sergeant Mazza smelled alcohol in the vehicle. Suspecting she might be impaired, he notified the other officers at the scene that he would have her step out of the car to undergo field sobriety tests. The first exercise required reciting the alphabet from “A” to “Z,” but Ms. Yang did not say each letter one by one. The second exercise was the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test. Sergeant Mazza noted that Ms. Yang showed a lack of smooth eye movement, clear and sustained nystagmus when her gaze reached the maximum angle, and nystagmus started before reaching 45 degrees. The third exercise was the One Leg Stand test. Ms. Yang first struggled to keep her foot raised while counting and then tried the test again. The last exercise was the Walk and Turn test, where Ms. Yang did not touch heel-to-toe on each step and walked backward to her starting point instead of turning around to walk forward. Sergeant Mazza arrested Ms. Yang for driving under the influence due to her erratic driving, the smell of alcohol, and her failure to perform field sobriety tests properly. Her vehicle was searched and impounded for a required 12-hour hold in accordance with John’s Law. Patrolman John Foy took Ms. Yang to Middletown Township Police Headquarters for processing, while Patrolman Anthony Bartolone stayed with the three other women until an Uber driver arrived to take them to their destination. At the police headquarters, Ms. Yang received the Standard Statement for Motor Vehicle Operators and consented to provide breath samples for testing. Sergeant Mazza used the Alcotest machine, which showed that her blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was 0.126%, exceeding the legal limit of 0.08%. Ms. Yang was then transferred to Patrolman Foy for further processing. Eventually, she was released to a sober adult after he signed the Potential Liability Warning Form on her behalf. Ms. Yang received summonses for operating under the influence and reckless driving. 0:21 NINE steps back...nine steps backwards? 1:27 I didn't drink. 1:35 Actual didn't. 1:44 tells her friend in Chinese (drank) a little 11:41 Just 1 cup white wine 13:06 THREE cops fighting over who would take Crystal to jail 16:55 Oh, I am shocked 21:03 Friend 1 kept insisting that the Friend 2 was sober 29:10 LOL 38:50 Bruh this young girl in cap is funny 44:05 and what are the chances of If you enjoyed this BodyCamBust video .
