On July 4, 2026, an 18 and 20-year-old woman entered Walmart and shoplifted 10 alcoholic Buzzballz. Loss prevention relayed a description of the women and the vehicle they drove off in. Rio Rancho Police Officer Snipes located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The passenger admitted to stealing the alcohol and provided Officers with the 10 stolen drinks. Each of the women were charged with Shoplifting and Minor in Possession of Alcohol. In addition, the driver was cited for no registration and no evidence of insurance. The outcome of their cases is unknown. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
