A skeletal discovery in a vacant lot reveals that a woman thought to have died in the Twin Towers was actually murdered 24 hours before the planes hit. Season 13 Episode 5 'The Ring': Two boys shoplifting from a corner store discover a skeleton in a vacant lot. Detectives identify the body as Kelly Sommers, a woman previously thought to have died in the September 11 attacks after her severed arm was found at Ground Zero. The investigation proves that her fiancé, Donald Hausman, murdered her on September 10th, planted her arm in the wreckage to stage her death, and then used the 9/11 insurance settlement to buy an engagement ring for his new girlfriend.
