Officer LeVan located the school bus parked in a shopping center parking lot. Soon thereafter, the bus driver exited a store and approached Officer LeVan. He states in his police report that the driver seemed confused and had difficulty completing sentences. She was asked to complete field sobriety tests (FSTs) and she was arrested for Operating a Vehicle Impaired (OVI) and Prohibited Acts involving a Commercial Driver's License. At the police station, she provided a urine sample and was released on a summons. On July 10, 2023, after the prosecution failed to submit any evidence from her urine specimen results, she was acquitted on all charges.
