A seemingly peaceful day at the beach turns chaotic when a physical altercation leaves one individual injured and another fleeing the scene. Responding to a report of a fight no longer in progress at a beachfront establishment, officers made contact with an alleged victim who displayed visible scratch marks on her back. She recounted being approached and argued with by another woman, an interaction she believed was fueled by animosity over a shared romantic interest, even alleging prior threats at her home. The victim described the suspect's behavior during the altercation, stating she "threw her grandbag over her seat, grabbed her shit and ran" from the area. Utilizing a description and phone number, officers swiftly located the suspect on a nearby sidewalk in front of a brick building. After confirming her involvement in the dispute and considering the victim's injuries and employee accounts, the suspect was placed under arrest for assault. She was then handcuffed, transported to the police department for processing, issued a summons for Simple Assault, and subsequently released.
