It really helps us do original reporting like this. 🔍 Episode Overview: Police responded to a car crash on Windward Drive. It was about 10:05 PM on November 28, 2023. A blue Toyota was found upside down. It had hit a parked Jeep. An officer spoke with the Toyota's driver. She was 22-year-old Alexandra Sepulveda. Alexandra was not cooperative from the start. She mentioned being in court earlier. She was upset about losing custody of her son. She told officers they were coming from Wawa. Her boyfriend was in the car, she said. Patrolman Kristopher Burke arrived soon after. He knew Alexandra from before. He smelled alcohol on her. He saw other signs she might be impaired. She had cuts on her face. First responders checked on her. She refused medical help. He then asked her to do field sobriety tests. He started with the eye test. He saw her eyes move oddly. They did not follow smoothly. They jumped at the farthest point. They also moved before he reached the limit. Next was the walk and turn test. Alexandra did not step heel-to-toe. She turned the wrong way. Finally, she did the one-leg stand. She could not hold her foot up right. She put it down too soon. The crash, her drinking, and failing the tests led to her arrest. She was charged with DUI. A tow truck righted her car. It was taken for a 12-hour hold. An open container of Four Loko was found. The car had no insurance. Patrolman Burke took Alexandra to the station. At the station, she was read the operator's statement. She agreed to a breath test. Her BAC was 0.195%. This was over twice the legal limit. Her boyfriend, Ramon, picked her up. He signed a form for her. She received tickets for: Driving under the influence. Reckless driving. Careless driving. Unregistered vehicle. No insurance. Later court records show more arrests. She was arrested for a second DWI on October 25, 2024. This was also in Barnegat Township. Then she was arrested for a third DWI on February 22, 2025.
