#news #police #arrest #cops #walmart #shoplifting The couple last seen on the channel in Walmart Shoplifting video: https://youtu.be/_bxZJdDSI4Q?si=HMPsNrkCmP0jov_P Report: On 10/07/2021, At approximately 00:00 hours Officer was dispatched to Shell Gas station. The call was in reference to a white female using a fake $20.00 bill at the register. Officer approached the female suspect. Suspect stated her boyfriend, the white male sent the black male to the gas station to purchase $5.00 worth of gas for the vehicle Before entering into the store to purchase the gas the female suspect handed the male suspect a $100.00 bill to use for the purchase. Officer then spoke with the store clerk, who stated the female came into the store and tried to purchase candy with a fake $20.00 bill he then alerted the police. Staff stated himself, and other employees check all currency that comes into the store before accepting it. He was also able to show me video footage of the male suspect walking into the store to purchase the gas with the $100.00 bill. In the video, you can see the male suspect pacing back and forth near the front counter. He then approaches the counter and slide's the $100.00 bill to the clerk. He then received his change in multiple currencies. While still reviewing camera footage Officer noticed a black male wearing black shorts and a black t-shirt along with a baseball cap, approach the male suspect at the front counter. They exchanged handshakes and held a brief conversation. The unknown subject then hands the male suspect what appeared to be a $20.00 bill. The male suspect then folds the $20.00 bill up and places it in his pocket along with the change he received from the store clerk and walks out of the store. Officer asked the male suspect what happened with the $100.00 bill. He then stated he was working with the boyfriend earlier today. He stated they sold a catalytic converter to a male for $100.00 and were going to split the profit. They then road around looking for a gas station to receive change, that's how they ended up at the shell gas station. Suspect stated the boyfriend handed him the bill to purchase the gas. He then stated he went into the store and purchased the gas and something to drink. In the video, Officer did not see the male suspect buying anything to drink. When officer asked him, what was the change amount he stated he did not know the exact amount. He then changed his story to him handing the female suspect $40.00 back because he was owed $50.00 from the sale they made earlier in the day. He continued to conflict his story with different dollar amounts. He insisted he did not give the female suspect any fake money. He was unable to give me an explanation on how the female suspect was still in possession of $93.00 if he took $50.00 from the change he received from the $100.00 bill. When asked who was the male who gave him the $20.00 in the store, he stopped answering questions and stated they were trying to pull something over him. When officer spoke to the female suspects boyfriend who was already in custody due to him having warrants out of Clarke County. Officer asked him did he know anything about the fake $20.00. He stated he had no idea and that he only handed the male suspect the $100.00 bill to purchase gas and give the change to his girlfriend the female suspect. He did mention that he was supposed to split the money with the male suspect for the sale they made earlier. Another officer transported him to the Hospital for clearance for the jail and then transported him to Clarke County jail without further incident. He was not charged with anything at this moment. A vehicle search was conducted on the Dodge Caravan that was being driven by the female suspect. Officers had Probable Cause due to the findings of a drug-related object in plain view. Nothing more was discovered in the vehicle besides drug-related objects. Both female and male suspects were both placed under arrest and searched incident to arrest. No further incident occurred. They were booked under Fraud first degree.
