On February 16, 2024, Cuyahoga Falls Patrolman Dobney observed a vehicle with expired registration travel over marked lane lines. He initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and asked the 29-year-old driver if she had consumed any alcohol. She repeatedly denied it even after performing the horizontal gaze nystagmus field sobriety test. She was eventually arrested for DUI and was transported to the Cuyahoga Falls police station, where she refused to submit to an evidential breath test.
