A late-night traffic stop quickly escalates into a DUI arrest, revealing procedural challenges during processing. An officer initiated a traffic stop after observing a vehicle making turns without signaling and nearly striking a curb. Upon contact, the officer detected a strong odor of alcohol and noted the 19-year-old female driver's watery, bloodshot eyes. After she refused to perform field sobriety exercises, she was arrested for driving under the influence. At police headquarters, after being read her rights, she admitted to consuming alcohol, and a breathalyzer test indicated a BAC of 0.179%. This clip captures a moment during processing where the officer encounters difficulty removing her handcuffs due to her movements, highlighting the complexities of managing an uncooperative individual. She was later released with a summons and ultimately pleaded guilty to DUI, receiving probation and a license suspension. --- Transparency through the lens of the law.
