Amidst a tense DUI arrest, a man makes an unusual plea to officers: to be arrested alongside his partner, expressing deep regret and concern for her. Officers were dispatched to a disturbance on Steamboat Drive in the early morning hours, where they found a young woman in a locked vehicle. She defied instructions, threatened to drive away, and displayed clear signs of impairment, leading to her arrest. As officers processed the scene, her boyfriend repeatedly implored them to arrest him too, explaining her behavior was due to intoxication and apologizing on her behalf, stating he just wanted to be with her. The officers calmly explained that separation procedures would prevent him from accompanying her, regardless of his emotional appeal. --- Transparency through the lens of the law.
