🚨 Intoxicated Driver Refuses to Stop — Buchanan County, Missouri (Feb 2, 2025) A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper observed a light‑green Ford C‑Max pass another vehicle on US‑59 and interfere with oncoming traffic. As the trooper caught up, the Ford was checked at 89 mph in a 60 zone. When emergency lights were activated, the driver — Quentin Stillman (53) — fled southbound on US‑59. Speeds ranged from 60 to 85 mph as Stillman passed pedestrians and other vehicles. He failed to stop at a posted stop sign and continued westbound toward Rushville. At 1633 hours, Stillman pulled into the Phillips 66 at 13480 US‑59 and exited the vehicle, ignoring commands. He attempted to enter the gas station, and the trooper deployed a taser, temporarily incapacitating him. Stillman was taken into custody without further incident. Troopers noted a strong odor of alcohol and slurred and incoherent speech. He threw an alcoholic beverage into a trash can before being tased. Stillman refused a preliminary breath test, and due to his level of intoxication and resisting behavior, no field sobriety tests were conducted. He later consented to a blood draw at Mosaic Hospital. A records check showed Stillman had an active warrant out of Platte County and a restricted Kansas driver’s license requiring an ignition interlock device — which was not installed in the vehicle. Sentencing details found at the end of the video. Charges Submitted: Resisting Arrest by Fleeing — Substantial Risk (Felony) DWI — Alcohol (Misdemeanor) Failure to Comply with Ignition Interlock Requirements (Misdemeanor) Speeding 26+ Over (Misdemeanor) Passing & Interfering with Oncoming Traffic (Misdemeanor) Failure to Stop at Stop Sign (Misdemeanor) Seat Belt Violation (Infraction) Key Details: 📍 Buchanan County, Missouri 📅 February 2, 2025 💨 Speeds up to 89 mph 🚶 Passed pedestrians on roadway 🛑 Stop sign violation ⚡ Taser deployed 🍺 Strong odor of alcohol; incoherent speech 🚫 Ignition interlock required but not installed 📄 Active warrant confirmed Map courtesy of GISGeography https://gisgeography.com/missouri-map/
