On August 8, 2025, Analasco, Wisconsin police responded to a motel for a routine trespassing complaint. A 35-year-old woman had refused to pay for her room, and management wanted her removed. But what began as a simple civil matter quickly escalated when officers discovered not one, but two individuals with active arrest warrants—and both were willing to run. In this video, we analyze the legal and tactical aspects of this encounter, examining: - Fourth Amendment search and seizure principles - Wisconsin's resisting/obstructing statute (§ 946.41) - Use of force under Graham v. Connor - Reasonable suspicion vs. probable cause - Constructive possession challenges in drug cases - Officer safety tactics during warrant enforcement We provide grades for all parties involved based on their legal compliance, tactical decisions, and overall conduct. CASE OUTCOMES: Female Suspect: Charged with criminal trespass and resisting. Released on $500 bond. Case open. Subsequently charged with retail theft and bail jumping (October 2025). Brett: Convicted via no contest plea to resisting/obstructing. Felony battery charge dismissed but read in. Sentenced to 172 days county jail. Was wanted on 1 Wisconsin warrant and 3 Montana warrants.
