#news #police #arrest Offenses: Disorderly Conduct Possession of MJ Less than 1 oz Discharging Firearm While Under Influence Reckless Conduct Report: On 12/18/2022, I responded to the area of Clayton St near N Jackson St in reference to a discharging firearm call. While in route to the scene the caller advised central that a white female had fired a handgun into the air and walked up Clayton St near College Ave. I made contact with the caller at the intersection of Clayton St and N Jackson St. He advised the following: He had gone outside of Toppers to take a phone call when he heard two females yelling at each other. The white female stated "I can take care of this." And pulled out a handgun and fired a round into the air and walked off with a black male towards College Ave. She then put the firearm underneath her left arm under a black in color jacket when she walked away. He gave me the description of the female and male the female was wearing a white shirt with a plaid skirt on with a jacket draped over her left arm. The male she walked away with was wearing a white in color long sleeve shirt with blue jeans. He lost contact with them when they turned the corner on Clayton St. He said she fired the firearm on N Jackson St. I walked down the left side of N Jackson St and located one shell casing near Toppers. While I was outside speaking with witness on of the workers stated that the female we are looking for is inside of Toppers in the dressing room. He walked us back there and we made contact with the suspect. She advised the following: Some female was trying to flight her and she was the one that had fired the firearm in the air not her. the same worker pulled me to the side and stated that the firearm is still on her person but he wasn't sure where it was but her knew she still had it. We located the firearm in a holster under her skirt and retrieved the fire arm it's a black and purple in color Glock 9MM. When I made the fire arm safe there was a round in the chamber. We placed her into handcuffs and walked her out of Toppers and placed her into the back of a patrol vehicle. While searching her things indecent to arrest we located two baggies with a green leafy substance believed to be MJ located inside her black in color jacket. Once baggie was clear in color and the other baggie was black in color with designs on it. I asked central to call the caller back and ask him to come to the patrol vehicle to do a walk up. He came to the patrol vehicle and made a positive identification on the female in the back of the patrol vehicle as the female who fired the fire arm into the air. While she was speaking with the other officer she advised him that she was highly intoxicated. Central also advised there where no wants on the gun. I had central flag her disorderly as well as being able to move handcuffs to the front. She was transported to Jail.
