On August 8, 2024, at approximately 4:20 a.m., Police Officers Joshua Campoverde and David Chicara were patrolling the area of City Hall, 94 Washington St., when they saw 47-year old Stacey Butler of Hoboken, who they knew had an outstanding warrant in Hoboken. The warrant was confirmed and Bulter was placed under arrest. A search incident to arrest found her in possession of a small cylindrical glass pipe, broken in two pieces, burnt at one end, and stuffed with copper wire mesh, all commonly used to ingest suspected CDS crack cocaine. She was found to have warrants in Hoboken for failure to appear, shoplifting, and fare evasion. She also had a warrant for burglary out of Hudson County. She was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. After being processed, Butler was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility.
