Officers say the suspect not only attempted to steal merchandise by switching barcodes, but also left her two young children locked inside a hot car in the parking lot, with the windows rolled up. The items taken were valued at just $83.67, but the true danger came from the children trapped in the heat. The suspect was arrested and now faces charges of child neglect without great bodily harm and second-degree petit theft. 🚔 In this video, you’ll see the bodycam footage from the Sebastian Police Department, showing how officers handled the situation when a shoplifting call turned into a child endangerment case. ⚠️ Never leave children alone in a vehicle — even a few minutes in the heat can be life-threatening. 👉 For more exclusive bodycam footage, DUI arrests, resisting arrest incidents, and police investigations, make sure to subscribe and consider joining the channel to support our work. #bodycam #bodycamstories #policefootage
