On July 10, 2023, Toledo police officers responded to a traffic collision. The victim and witnesses stated that the female driver and female passenger of the at-fault Mercedes fled the scene on foot. Additional police units located the women and detained them. Between the 2 of them, they told at least 20 lies. They were handcuffed and transported back to the scene of the accident. The 19-year-old driver was asked to perform standardized field sobriety tests. She had various excuses on why she couldn't perform any of them correctly. She was eventually arrested for DUI and transported to the police station. She agreed to submit to an evidential breath test and the result was 0.093% BAC.
