San Antonio, TX – Early in the morning on July 31, 2025, a routine roll call at the San Antonio Police Department’s South Patrol Substation took an unexpected turn. Supervisors noticed what they believed was the smell of alcohol coming from Officer Paul Fencik as he checked in for duty. While they began the standard steps to verify possible impairment, Fencik left the station in his patrol unit before the review was complete. Command staff quickly ordered him back, and he returned to the substation. A traffic officer was then called to conduct a field sobriety test. According to officials, the results showed Fencik’s blood alcohol content was over 0.15—more than double the legal limit—leading to his arrest on a Class A misdemeanor DWI charge. A search of his patrol vehicle reportedly turned up an open beer container in the console and a cooler stocked with unopened cans. Fencik, an 18-year veteran with the department, was taken to the Bexar County Jail. He has been reassigned to administrative duties while facing both criminal charges and an internal investigation. Police Chief William McManus condemned the officer’s actions, describing them as a serious breach of public trust, and requested the case be fast-tracked as termination proceedings are considered. #TaserFootage #PoliceBodycam #TaserCompilation #LawEnforcement #USA #NonLethalForce #PoliceTakedown #UseOfForce #BodycamUSA #RawPoliceFootage
