Valcin (Asbury Park PD) ⚖️ Charge: 2C:33-2 Disorderly Conduct On the night of March 13, 2025, Officer S. Rodriguez of the Asbury Park Police Department was on patrol in the southwestern part of the city. Dressed in his uniform and equipped with a body-worn camera, he was ready to respond to any disturbances. At around 11:04 PM, Officer Rodriguez received a call about two women refusing to leave the House of Independents, a venue located at 572 Cookman Avenue. Security personnel, Steve Wisner, reported that the women had been escorted out for bringing alcohol into the venue, which was against the rules. Upon arrival, Officer Rodriguez spoke with the two women, advising them that the matter was settled and they should arrange for transportation home. One of the women, Melina Maza, however, was not ready to leave. She began arguing with security, demanding to be let back in. Despite repeated warnings from Officer Rodriguez and another officer, P.O. Love, Maza continued to raise her voice, using coarse language and even physically pushing back against the officers. Seeing that Maza was causing a disturbance and ignoring their instructions, Officer Rodriguez arrested her for disorderly conduct. She was handcuffed, placed in the patrol car, and taken to the police station. There, Officer H. Valcin conducted a search, which yielded no contraband. Maza was issued a complaint-summons for violating 2C:33-2 (Disorderly Conduct) and was processed accordingly. The entire incident, from the arrest to the transport, was recorded on the officers' body-worn and vehicle cameras. The case was closed with Maza's arrest, marking another night of maintaining order in Asbury Park. 📌 #PoliceArrest 📌 #DisorderlyConduct 📌 #BodycamFootage 📌 #AsburyPark 📌 #RealCrime 📌 #LawEnforcement 📌 #BodyWornCamera 📌 #PatrolUnit 📌 #securityincident -------------- About Us / Disclaimer: Real World Police provides unbiased and authentic footage of incidents captured on body cams.
