This explosive bodycam clip from December 5, 2022, captures a fiery clash during the arrest of Daniel Hilts, a 32-year-old patron from Punta Gorda, Florida, at Anthony’s Restaurant & Pub in Joliet, Illinois. Filmed in the parking lot at 1:50 AM, this YouTube Short shows an officer telling Hilts, “Management would like you to leave the property,” offering two options. Hilts snaps, “Back the fuck away from me,” boasts, “I tipped them 30%,” and demands distance while requesting his hotel key, saying, “You’re gonna back away from me more than this arm length, please.” This wild scene is pure fuel for true crime fans. The chaos erupted when Hilts, ejected from Anthony’s for disruptive behavior, tried to drive his car, prompting Officers Joseph Robinson and Robert Bukala to intervene. After rejecting ride-shares or a security escort to his nearby hotel, Hilts got hostile, leading to a takedown and charges of aggravated battery to a peace officer, aggravated assault, obstructing justice, criminal trespass to property, and resisting arrest. The neon-lit Anthony’s parking lot sets a gritty stage for this real-life crime saga, perfect for fans of unfiltered police bodycam action. True crime junkies will devour Hilts’ fiery defiance and hotel key demands, offering a raw peek into a tense cop showdown. The tipping rant and distance pleas crank up the drama in this wild arrest.
