🚔 140 MPH + police helicopter + DUI arrest = wild stop. On December 1, 2025 around 12:30 a.m. in Las Vegas (US 95 at Charleston), officers say a teen driver pushed a light-colored sedan to 120–140 MPH while a police helicopter tracked the reckless driving from above. The car was weaving through traffic, passing on the shoulder, and even throwing sparks—with multiple near-miss moments that could’ve ended in tragedy. A patrol officer eventually located the vehicle and stopped it on the southbound I-15 ramp from US 95. Police report the 18-year-old driver was arrested for DUI, with passengers inside (ages 16, 17, and 18). The vehicle was impounded as authorities emphasized crackdowns on dangerous driving and noted 148 traffic deaths in 2025.
