Pretty unusual traffic stop here, the reason she was pulled over was because she was driving in the left hand lane in an area that the left lane is only supposed to be used for passing a slower vehicle in the right lane. Generally the officer would just have the driver roll down the window and then explain the reason for the stop, either give a ticket or a warning. Instead of talking to the officer from her car, she is asked to come back to the officers car and sit in the passenger side. Was this because it was raining and the officer didn't want to get wet? or was it because the officer already knew what was in her vehicle? Was he tipped off ? What looked like a routine stop turned into a major drug case. This 64 year old woman was allegedly an employee for Walmart and made the horrible decision to pickup a side hustle as a drug mule. Her story was not making any sense, she tried to say she was visiting family in various cities when the officer noticed on her GPS that she had been in Albuquerque. (ABQ is a known drug hub) Sounds like she picked up a vehicle in California loaded with 40 lbs of meth and was heading east on I-40, likely headed to Oklahoma. She also had $10k in cash in her purse, that was likely partial payment for transporting the drugs. She had a lot of trouble explaining who's car she was driving, she said it was he boyfriend's vehicle but could not remember her boyfriends name:) She was charged with money laundering and possession of a controlled substance.
