On August 25, 2025, deputies with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office moved in on an SUV carrying a man, his wife, and their children after he was linked to a $15,000 gold-chain theft at a local jewelry store the day before. A PIT maneuver on a busy roadway brought the fleeing family to a sudden stop. Police bodycam footage shows deputies finding high-end jewelry all over the family—Rolex watches, gold chains, coins, and more—plus a massive stash hidden inside a child’s stuffed animal. In total, investigators recovered over $400,000 in stolen jewelry and cash, including a Rolex worth more than $40,000 being worn by the suspect’s 10-year-old son. The suspect, Marcu Rostas, is accused of being part of a traveling distraction theft crew tied to multiple cases across the U.S. He was taken to jail on grand theft and related charges, and an immigration detainer was placed on him while investigators work to uncover the full scope of the operation. All parties are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. 👉 If you enjoy real police bodycam videos and true crime cases, LIKE this video and SUBSCRIBE for new videos every week. *All individuals in this video are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
