A routine late-night traffic stop quickly unravels as an officer suspects impairment. At approximately 1:20 AM, an officer observed a vehicle making multiple turns without signaling and nearly striking a curb. After initiating a stop, the officer detected the odor of alcohol and noted the 19-year-old driver's watery, bloodshot eyes. The driver, a young woman with long blonde hair, was uncooperative, initially joking about not driving and then refusing field sobriety exercises. Based on these observations and behaviors, she was arrested for driving under the influence. At the police department, she agreed to a breathalyzer test, which revealed a blood alcohol content of 0.179%. She was later released with a summons, eventually pleading guilty to DUI, receiving a suspended jail sentence, probation, and a 90-day license suspension. --- Transparency through the lens of the law.
